Denzer Receives National FFA Scholarship

Morgan Denzer, of Pulaski, was selected to receive one of the 2015 National FFA Scholarships sponsored by Riesterer & Schnell.

The scholarship is worth $2,000 toward the 2015-2016 academic school year.

Denzer, 19, is a sophomore at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, where she is pursuing a degree in Food Science & Technology. Motivated by her passion for feeding people around the world, Denzer plans to pursue a career as a food chemist, where she will focus her efforts on creating a healthy future filled with nutrient rich foods.

Denzer graduated from Pulaski High School in 2014 and has been a member of the school’s FFA chapter for eight years. Always an active member in the chapter, Denzer has served terms as president and secretary, competed in multiple fairs, speaking contests and career development events, and has helped run and organize the Star Partner Sponsorship program, Meat Animal Quality Assurance programs, and middle school FFA meetings. In the last year, she completed her state degree, applied for Star Farmer and completed a beef proficiency, which assesses students’ finances, record keeping and knowledge of their beef operations as part of a state-wide competition.

Denzer is the daughter of Steve and Pam Denzer.
