Andrew Bargender, of Stratford, was selected to receive one of two 2018 National FFA Scholarships sponsored by Riesterer & Schnell and John Deere.
The scholarship is worth $2,000 toward the 2018-2019 academic school year.
Bargender will graduate from Stratford High School in May with a 4.0 GPA. He plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where he will pursue a degree in Agricultural Finance to become a Financial Analyst.
Bargender is a member of the Stratford FFA Chapter, and his advisor is Rebecca Wirkus.
In his scholarship statement, Bargender said, “Thank you for supporting my future educational goals. I have enjoyed being in FFA these past six years, and without the continued support of your organization, it would not be possible for me to continue my education. I truly appreciate all the donors who made this scholarship possible.”
Bargender is the son of Troy and Kathy Bargender.
