Should of done this sooner

5/5

Seven years ago i bought a brand X. I had looked at a X350 then and I thought I would save a few bucks and go with brand X. Fast forward 7 years and the trans broke and not in a normal way.... This time i had no thoughts of brand X. My only thought X350 or a X390. After a test drive and and some thinking. I decided on the X390. The power steering, power deck and the serviceable transmission sold me. I have 3 acres to cut with trees and my cutting time with brand X with brand new blades was three hours sometime four and I would have to cut slow and watch my turns or I would have missed cutting with new blades... I have cut the lawn two times with my new X390 and have cut the time in 1/2 and I have a super looking lawn. I should of done then 7 years ago....

Pros

  • power steering
  • great looking cut lawn

Cons

  • none

I deserve this good of a lawn tractor!

5/5

After 22 years of buying Brand X, I'd had enough. So when Brand X's transmission failed while trying to do the last cut of last year, I bought the X390. The power steering is effortless, the ride is good and the engine is plenty powerful for the 54" deck which raises and lowers electrically. The instrument panel tells you all you need to know. I have to ask, why don't ALL lawn tractor manufacturers make the oil change as easy as Kawasaki does? The tractor "feels" robust so we'll have to see. Actually looking forward to the next 10 years of cutting 2 acres every week. Not really but this machine moves the drudgery scale needle much lower!

Pros

  • useful instrument panel
  • power steering is great for us old folk
  • good ride and excellent cut

Cons

  • oil filter tough to get to (need cup end wrench)

John Deere x390 with two stage snow blower

5/5

Just purchased and have taken delivery of my new JD X390 with a two stage snow blower attachment. Have used the machine only twice for blowing snow(this time of year). All that I can say is that the x 390 is performing way above my expectation, and that the two stage snow blower attachment blows heavy wet snow better than anything that I have used in the past .my driveway is 120ft long and double wide. So far I am excited about my new J.D. garden tractor.

Pros

  • many xtra features

What a ride!

5/5

I have had my X390 for a month and half now and have about 15 hours of cut time. This tractor is so easy to use and cuts so nicely it is scary. Coming off a 30 year old tractor it is so nice to be able to finish cutting sooner and be able to enjoy my lawn more. The 390 is so much quitter and way more fuel efficient than my old tractor. Makes it a joy to use. While these are a bit on the pricey side I think the value is there. I watch my neighbor struggle with tall grass. The deep cutting deck on the 390 cuts so much better than the unit he is using. Incredible.!

Great Value!

5/5

The X390 is by far the best lawn tractor I've ever had and I'm 63 years old. I have a bad back and had to have power steering after trying a tractor w/o power steering. The 54" deck is great as it lets you trim close to everything. I have a front bumper and 2 rear weights that I wpould highly recommend to everyone. The bumper saves scratches on the tractor and the weights makes it handle much better on road banks. I pull a 900# roller also and don't even know it's there with the power it has.I have 76 hours on it after 1 season of use with no problems at all. This is a great mower that I would recommend to anyone!!
