I had an older John Deere 170 and was looking to upgrade, the dealer pointed me to the X570 and what a difference indeed ! I wanted the power flow bagger system for cutting the grass along with the 44 inch snowblower to fight these New England winters. I use this year round and it is a beast on both applications. I was so pleased with the X570 I purchased a John Deere 1025r tractor, loader, backhoe this fall to tackle the bigger jobs on the property and will keep the X570 to do the smaller tasks....

I bought a new X570 in May of 2017 and wanted to cut with it for over a season before writing a review. As of right now, I have 55 hours on the unit and it stays inside when not mowing with it. Overall, the X570 is a good mower in that it has so far outperformed other mowers that I have had. I have a lot of trees on little over an acre and the turn-radius is very tight which allows me to get around the trees very quickly and the locking differential allows me to navigate some of the tougher spots with ease. The design of the top of the deck doesn't allow clippings to pile up which allows for easy clean-up and the engine compartment doesn't get filled up with clippings either. On average, the speed at which the X570 cuts is also nice because it has reduced the overall time investment that goes with maintaining any yard. In terms of maintenance, changing the oil, etc. it is very easy to keep up with. The X570 does have a few negative impacts that I don't particularly like. The headlights could be better, the seat started splitting on me already (as I said, my X570 sits indoors while it isn't being used), and angled/offset cutting has some minor challenges even with the deck setup properly. In any case, I hope this review is helpful.

I originally started out I had purchased a John Deere X350. Fantastic tractor. I felt after using it to cut 4 acres of grass that it was not enough tractor for me. I used the John Deere promise and picked up the X570. This tractor has exceeded all my expectations! It doesn't even break a sweat cutting 4 acres every week. I have around 50 hours on it now, and just did my first transaxle fluid change. Everything is within easy reach, the ride is comfortable, the diff lock is amazing, and my lawn looks like a golf course. If you are on the fence between the x300 series and the x500 series, go for the x500 you will not regret it! This tractor will make cutting your lawn fun again. I was/am a huge fan of the 1970s heavy duty garden tractors. These tractors are now 50+ years old. Things break, parts are hard to find and in some cases no longer sold. I would spend more time working on my tractor than it took to cut my lawn! Now I just add fuel, check oil, and go enjoy cutting grass!

If you want quality, dependability, and performance in a lawn tractor, look no further than the X570. I have a shade more than 3 acres of meadow to mow that gently slopes down to a lake. My Deere x570 is one powerful machine that can handle this with ease. The locking differential pedal really helps on hills (I have one steep hill and it climbs it with ease.) I have about 65 hours and it has never given me any problems. I highly recommend this lawn tractor.

Bought a new X570 with a 48" deck March 2018. WOW! This garden tractor runs great, is built very well, is very high quality and it performs in an amazing way. I moved up from a Deere L118 which I thought was very good. Night and day difference here. Lots of power and torque from the engine and transmission. Bought with HDAP rear tires. Wanted this tractor with the locking differential so it could handle all my hills, wet/mud spots and tough terrain. My L118 would often struggle and get stuck. Due to the X570 wider stance, much larger tires and HDAP tread on tires, I don't get stuck anywhere, nor lose traction and I did not not have to engage the locking differential; not one time. I'm really impressed. Some people complain of the choke which you have to hold on when starting it because it automatically returns to choke off. This works great. I think the engineers did this because many people run with the choke on after starting and this would hurt the engine. Controls are well thought out, but I would like to have seen the parking brake and deck lifter better identified. Got the mulching control with mulching blades... mulches in an outstanding way! Recommend the mulching control if your buying. Is better than bagging. The only real disappointment is that John Deere should have used the better quality automotive headlights that are on the 700 series; the price range of this X570 warrants it and it also should have rear tail lights, not just reflectors. Unit is more larger than my L118 was, but it runs much quieter including a quieter engine, deck and blades and it handles much better. Steers so easy; like it has power steering. Great pedals for forward and reverse. Nice LCD dashboard display and a big brake pedal. Seat is very comfortable. Cuts very fast and very even. Best cutting on any tractor I've ever seen. Can handle a rear tiller and a snow blower... a big plus. Highly recommended! Wow! Glad I got this unit! Long warranty of 4 years/500 hours.

They say you pay more for green paint. I guess you do but the green paint surrounds a far superior product. After months of research I settled on the x570 because of the hilly terrain in my yard. The turn radius is the tightest of any mower I have ever used. It has a ton of torque. It steers as easily as a car even without power steering. It's quiet for its size. The deck doesn't scalp the yard where all other mowers always have. I have one little monster hill that no other mower would get up. When this one slipped it hit the locking differential and it crawled right up it. I don't use cruise control because I don't have straight aways in my yard long enough to need it. Deck height adjustment is a breeze. It won't let you engage the blades until the brake is off and you're ready to mow. All in all I have nothing but praise except that the area of the deck where the spindles are doesn't allow for water to drain so you have to blow it out after you wash it. Otherwise I would give this mower 6 stars out of 5. The quality really is that good.

Sweet Machine. So Far no problems but we put only 10 hours on tractor so far. It takes a little use too operating the auto transmission since we have manual transmissions on our other two garden tractors. The Accel Deep 48" mower deck is fantastic. Buy the oil filter wrench & front bumper, you will be glad you did.

I have owned two X500s over the years. And just purchased an X570 which has replaced the 500. The machine i traded in had retained a great deal of value even though it had 825 hours on the tach. This new machine does not seem to be as rugged as the ones i have had in the past. Especially the mower deck. Only time will tell !!!

This is a good machine. The Kawasaki 24 HP engine is strong. The speed of the tractor is much faster than you really need to go. Lots of power for many things, except pulling stumps, which it isn't engineered to do. But you can move gravel and some earth, if you get the front shovel (40") like I did. Mower cuts just fine. And you can get a rear tow-behind spreader for seed & fertilizer (for around 200 bucks). My Gorilla Cart (from Lowes) tows behind the JD, no problem. OIL FILTER REPLACEMENT comment: you are going to have a difficult time replacing the original oil filter. I think the factory must over-torque these, which makes it very hard to remove. Make sure you buy the JD OEM large wrench fitting for the oil filter. Even then, you will probably have a problem. I did Not have the JD OEM socket and it took me 3 hours and a lot of cussing to get the original oil filter off. There is not enough room in the engine compartment to get your hands in there and use a normal oil filter ribbon wrench, as you'll soon discover. Better yet, WHILE you're at the dealer, where you're buying the tractor, have the JD mechanic there LOOSEN the oil filter, then quickly hand tighten it in your presence. Otherwise, you're going to go through a big problem on your first oil change (if you're doing it yourself). Otherwise, I've found this garden tractor to be a wonderful machine. That front shovel is great. But, you're not going to be able to run the tractor up a fold-down trailer ramp. That's going to make you remove the front shovel every time you do that. Takes me about a half-hour (not the 5 minutes JD PR says). And you're not going to be able to pick up the heavy front shovel with your hands & back. You'll need a dolly. I realized this and planned accordingly. Seneca, SC Ag-Pro spent several hours with me, familiarizing me with the tractor. Good people. Buy from them if you're in their area.

I've had my x570 since April 2016. I really am pleased with my purchase. The diff lock is what really sets this unit above the x300 series. If you have hilly terrain to care for you will know where the extra money went. Also, the ability to change the transaxle fluid was a plus for me. Watch my video for visual details.

I owned the s240 for a year and it was not enough for my complex property with hills. My dealer let me trade it in for a good price and trade up to the x570. There is no comparison. The X570 has more power than I'll ever need and love the fact that the transmission oil can be changed. Hoping it lasts for a long time.
