Snow Removal Options for a Wisconsin Winter

Property Size - Any Size

Amount of Snowfall - Any Amount

3-Point Mounted Snow Blower

A 3-point snow blower attachment is ideal for large-property and commercial operations. It allows easy removal for clearing parking lots, wide driveways, and sidewalks. This option offers more utility because you can keep your loader on the tractor with a snow pusher or blade that will handle lighter snows more quickly and the 3-point mounted snow blower can take care of the big snows and drifts or piles at the end of the driveway.

This option is great for standard residential lots as well as larger drive ways. It works like a walk-behind snow blower but offers more stability with the tractor. This is ideal for many different snow amounts. With a large amount of snow, or small, the front frame snow blower is one of the most popular options.

Amount of Snowfall - 6" or less

Loader with Standard Bucket

The standard bucket is a default option for many as it can do more than haul away snow. It is recommended for 6 inches of snow or less and smaller properties based on time. It takes a longer duration to remove a large area of snow with just a bucket. This option works great for people who want to put snow in a specific spot. It allows pin-point control without constant blowing snow. It works excellent for leveling, transporting and smoothing out areas with snow. Consumers like this option because it can be used year-round and they can pile snow very high.

Loader Mounted Blade

Loader Mounted Blade

The loader mounted blade is like the loader but offers more variety in direction and a faster clean-up. For yards that have tight corners with limited room to place snow, this option is best. This loader mounted blade is ideal for 6 inches of snow or less and works well with any length driveway where being able to angle the blade is useful, being that the blade is on the loader, it allows you to stack snow higher than the frame mounted blade. Overall, the tractor uses less power and can move snow straight, forward and to the right or left.

Front Frame Mounted Blade

The front frame mounted blade works great for standard residential lots or large commercial property with 6 inches or less of snowfall. It can move snow straight forward, to the right or left. This option works great for most John Deere riding lawn mowers and uses less power due to the curved blade surface allowing it to role the snow rather than push.

Loader Mounted Snow Pusher

The snow pusher is very similar to the loader bucket but it is more efficient.  It cups the snow and keeps it in front of you longer than a blade but it cannot be angled to either direction. This attachment is ideal for 6 inches of snow or less but works great for large or small properties.

NOTE: These attachments are available on most John Deere Tractor models. For more information, feel free to visit your local Riesterer & Schnell equipment consultant.
