Bays Receives National FFA Scholarship

Bradley Mercier of New Franken was selected to receive the Midwest Equipment Foundation Scholarship. His application was sponsored by Riesterer & Schnell’s Denmark store.

The scholarship is worth $1,000 toward the 2015-2016 academic school year.

Mercier, 18, will graduate from Luxemburg-Casco High School May 28 and plans to pursue a degree in the Agricultural Equipment Technology Program at Madison Area Technical College in Madison, Wis., beginning this fall.

Driven by his interest in diesel mechanics, Mercier joined the Riesterer & Schnell team in April, first working in the parts department and now in the shop detailing equipment and cleaning. He said he enjoys helping out around the store wherever he can.

Mercier is the son of Kevin and Patti Mercier.

The Midwest Equipment Foundation presents 320 agricultural, dairy farmstead, construction and outdoor power equipment dealers in Wisconsin and Illinois. Scholarships are awarded annually by the Foundation to assist students in their pursuit of a career in these related industries.
